Qualification & Experience
- • Qualification: Diploma or B.E. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- • Experience: 3 to 7 years hands-on experience in ETP / STP operations in an industrial setup.
Skills Required
- • Strong understanding of ETP/STP processes: physical, chemical and biological treatment.
- • Knowledge of environmental laws, wastewater norms and PCB guidelines (CPCB / SPCB).
- • Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- • Ability to lead small teams and work independently.
- • Good documentation, reporting and record-keeping skills.
Key Responsibilities
- • Operate, monitor and control ETP units (primary, secondary, tertiary treatment systems).
- • Ensure efficient functioning of mechanical, chemical and biological treatment processes.
- • Perform daily analysis of inlet/outlet effluent parameters (pH, BOD, COD, TSS, TDS etc.).
- • Maintain records of effluent analysis, chemical consumption, maintenance and operational logs.
- • Ensure discharges meet CPCB/SPCB environmental compliance standards.
- • Schedule & carry out preventive maintenance of ETP equipment (pumps, blowers, clarifiers, aerators, filters).
- • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to avoid downtime or regulatory breaches.
- • Manage chemical & spare inventory and liaise with pollution control boards for audits/inspections.
- • Train and supervise operators/helpers; ensure safety while handling effluents and chemicals.
